Surrey Blues has always been proactive in the development of players in roles not directly connected to the football pitch. We have now created pathways to develop skills and improve self-confidence of our senior players. Roles have been created for Club Ambassadors, Respect Officers and Club Host.
The players taking on the roles have been given mutually agreed contracts and are mentored in their roles. The start of this program has already created ownership, loyalty, confidence and a real sense of achievement. The Trustees and Committee are very proud to see the development of young people and to see them happy in meeting the challenge of different roles.
